My Goals for 2018

Hello everyone,

I just want to start this post by wishing you all a Happy New year, I hope 2018 is a great year for you.

Last week I wrote a post on my reflections on 2017. As it’s now 2018 (can you believe it? Because I can’t), I thought I’d set myself some goals for 2018 and share them with you lovely lot.

I wrote a similar post last year which you seemed to enjoy so I thought I’d do the same this year.

Let’s face it, 2018 will probably go one of two ways: I’ll achieve all of these goals or not achieve any of them…I think I achieved most of my 2017 goals so let’s see what 2018 has in store. I’d love to see these goals materialise over the next 12 months.

  1. Be good at my job

I’ve recently got a new job and I’m loving it so far. I really hope that that continues throughout 2018. I really hope that people can learn from me, and that I actually help the people that I’m working with. I think that I’ll learn new skills along the way as well which I’m really excited about.

2. Step out of my comfort zone

This was something that I never had the confidence to do, but I think I’ve got a lot better at doing so over the last few years and I’m hoping to continue that in 2018. I want to try new things, as I think it’s important to learn and grow as a person. Stepping out of my comfort zone may be a challenge at times, but I’m determined to really push myself.

3. Continue blogging

In the middle of January, I’ll have been blogging for three years and that’s absolutely crazy! I want to continue writing content for you all as it’s something that I love doing. I hope you’ll love my content as much as I love writing it. I want to write posts that get people talking.

4. Start a YouTube channel

I’ve been telling myself for ages to start a YouTube channel but I’ve never got around to it. I need to learn how to edit videos, so if anyone has any tips then let me know. I don’t want to do fancy editing, just something simple.

I’d really like to create videos as an extension of my blog.

5. Get more blog followers/subscribers

I know blogging isn’t all about the numbers but I’d really really love to have more blog subscribers. If you’re not subscribed to my blog then it would mean the world if you could do so, then you’ll receive an email every time I publish a new blog post. You can subscribe by entering your email address in the subscribe box on my homepage.

6. Apply for a guide dog

This is something that I’ve wanted to do for a couple of years now, but various things have got in the way of me doing so. So, this year I’m determined to apply for a guide dog and get myself on the waiting list!

Why I’ve not applied for a guide dog is something that I’ll write about in another post at some point, but I feel ready to apply now and confident enough in terms of my mobility.

So, there you have it, my goals for 2018.

Do you have any goals that you’d like to achieve this year? Also, do you have any blog post suggestions for me? Let me know in the comments.

Holly x

Your goals are ambiguous and yet quite doable for a person with your talent. Wishing you the best all year long.
